Tacoma & Seattle Mini Sessions

Every year I offer Tacoma & Seattle Mini Sessions for my clients in the North and South ends so that I can make sure to get all of my return clients year after year (and some new ones too!). This year I am limiting my mini sessions to make sure I maintain my mental health during the holidays, but I will still have a handful of full sessions I will take on during the year.

What is a Mini Session?

What is a Mini Session you ask? Well, it’s a quick 15-20 minute session that is brief but still can capture the essence of your family. These are great for families that just need a few quick photos, or maybe don’t have the patience to last a long time for a photo session. Mini Sessions take place on set dates at set locations with set timeframes (so not much flexibility) and it’s first come first serve. You can choose from different packages so these also tend to be more affordable. It’s a great thing if you plan to get family photos year after year!

Should I do a Mini or a Full Session?

I do have to say, Full Sessions may even be the way to go nowadays. Photoshoots are more fun and engaging and less stuffy and “say cheese” than in the past. Time seems to fly during a photo session with me and before you know it the session is over. You’ll be shocked to hear even the harshest photo critic say “well that wasn’t so bad”. So if Mini Sessions are too chaotic for you, check out my Full Session availability. These allow for more time to warm up for little ones, makes the most of you getting ready and driving all the way out to the location, and you get more photo options to choose from. We can choose a date and location (and activity) that is most meaningful for you!

How to schedule a Full Session?

If you want to schedule a full session (45-60 minutes) with me, first thing’s first, connect with me and we can decide together if a full session is right for you! We may want to do a mini session or we may possibly want to do an extended session (2+ hours)!

August 18th // Orting Riverbed

5pm to 8pm, 4 spots left

I absolutely LOVED my summer sessions at the Orting Foothills Trail riverbed. I had four sessions there in June and I knew I needed to add these to my final summer mini-session date! It’s a bit of a drive to get out there, but truly worth it. It’s fun to play on the riverbed and even get in and splash around in the water if you want to! There is a cute bridge and you can bring your bikes and ride around if you want as well like this mama & her boys did for her motherhood session! If you want a Full Session in this location, feel free to let me know! This mama’s session we technically a mini session but we would have needed a full session to really fit all of the fun in.

September 29th // North Bend

3pm to 5pm, SOLD OUT! Waitlist open (sign up if you want this date or location)

North Bend is a magical place with scenic views whether it’s sunny or cloudy like this June session (which who knows what will happen in late September). There are elk that roam the meadows, views of Mt. Si, and even a potential creek I could do one full session at after my mini sessions (grab that full session spot here)!

November 3rd // Humano Studio 7 (formerly Northlight)

10:30-12:30pm, 3 spots left (minimal Holiday vibe similar to what’s pictured)

I have used this studio for holiday photoshoots the last few years and I always keep coming back year after year because I love it so much! The way the light comes in when it’s sunny and the diffused looked on a cloudy day, you really can’t go wrong here. We can always book a full hour at this studio for any type of session that you would like (branding, family, themed session, etc), feel free to book a full studio session and we can work out the details!

November 10th // Santa Photos (Stenson Farm)

11am to 2pm, 4 spots left!

*PLEASE ONLY BOOK IF YOU PLAN TO SEE SANTA* It’s a holiday tradition that Santa (aka my dad) stops by my grandparents’ farm for a quick photo op before he puts the finishing touches on everyone’s gifts back at the North Pole! These sessions are great because not only do you have a photo op with Santa, but you also get 10 minutes of family photos without Santa or the holiday backdrop (and weather pending, we get to walk around the farm and capture some great stuff)! If you would like a non-holiday or Santa photo mini-session at the farm, please let me know and we can possibly make that happen (pending weather)!

November 17th // Studio on Cole Street

10:30 to 1pm, 2 spots left!

Oh, how I love this sweet little studio on the cutest street in Enumclaw! After our session, you should definitely plan to spend some time shopping or dining out on Cole Street. I love that the decor is neutral, the paper backdrop is ready to go for more of a “personality portrait” feel, and it’s a large space with incredible natural light. We can always book a full session in this space (for holiday or non-holiday photos)!
